Short version: F95zone is where a lot of players discover adult games. To actually get them legally, and support the people who make them, buy from the developer or from a store that pays them. Here's where.
Why players use F95zone
Mostly for discovery: one place to see new releases, updates, tags and reviews. Discovery is exactly what broke when itch.io and Steam pulled back from adult games in 2025. The problem is that many builds posted there are shared without the developer's permission, so the people making the game never see a cent.
Legal alternatives, by what you want
| You want | Go to | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Latest builds of a game in development | The developer's Patreon or SubscribeStar | Early access, directly funds the game |
| A finished game, paid once | Steam, DLsite, itch.io (direct link), DuskPlay | Permanent purchase |
| Japanese and translated games | DLsite | Largest Japanese catalogue |
| Free-to-play browser and mobile games | Nutaku | F2P with in-game purchases |
| Android builds | The developer's site or a store with official APKs | No modified or malware-laden mirrors |
| Discovering new games | Creators on X and Bluesky, subreddits, DuskPlay collections | Curated, with links to official sources |
Official builds are just better
- Safer: no modified executables or bundled extras.
- Up to date: the newest version, with patches.
- Saves that carry over between updates.
- The game keeps getting made. Small studios live and die on sales.
FAQ
Is F95zone legal?
F95zone is a forum. Many games discussed there are shared freely by their developers, but many builds posted there are shared without the developer's permission. Downloading those is copyright infringement in most countries.
Where can I legally download adult games?
From the developer directly (Patreon, SubscribeStar, their own site), from stores like Steam, DLsite and itch.io, or from adult-focused stores like DuskPlay.
Why pay if the game is available for free somewhere?
Most adult games are made by one to five people. Sales are the only reason updates keep coming. Official builds are also safer, up to date and support save compatibility.
