In July 2025, Steam removed hundreds of adult games and itch.io hid its entire adult catalogue in a matter of days. The games were legal. The creators had done nothing wrong. A whole category simply stopped being convenient for general-purpose stores and their payment partners.
Thousands of developers lost the place where players found them. Players lost the place where they bought. DuskPlay exists so that never depends on someone else's mood again.
What we believe
- Adult games are games. They deserve a real store, with real curation, real support and real discovery.
- A purchase should be permanent. Buy once, DRM-free, keep it.
- Creators should be able to make a living. Payment that works, fair terms, and marketing that actually brings players.
- Clear lines make a store last. Original characters only, every character an adult, consensual content, and a person reviewing every game before it goes live.
Where we are
DuskPlay is in early access. We're onboarding a small group of Founding Creators, building the store, and preparing the Dusk Pass. If you make adult games, talk to us. If you play them, join the waitlist.
